Personalized Physical Therapy Questions

There are several important ways Nexus differs from other physical therapy clinics:

  • We treat every client for 50 minute, in a private one-on-one session which allows a greater quality of consistent care delivered at the highest level.
  • We utilize a whole body approach that focuses on correcting alignment and movement patterns everywhere in the body, rather than focusing on a single symptom or diagnosis
  • Because we are an out of network provider, treatments and goals are patient centered instead of insurance based
  • We have developed and trademarked a unique, comprehensive method of assessing and measuring results from new and existing clients called the Keen Healthy Movement™ System. Learn more here
Nexus Studio of Monterey, Inc. does not have any contract agreement with any private insurance company and is not a Medicare provider at this time. In order to keep the highest and personalized care for our patients, it is very difficult to provide the care we provide while having restriction by third party payers. We are an Out of Network Provider for all private insurance companies. Our care is reimbursable by private insurance companies based on the individual’s coverage. For high deductible clients, you can submit the superbill to your insurance company to put it towards your deductible.

No, but it is very helpful to have a referral from your physician and more often, a private insurance company requires you to have a referral for reimbursement. We must have a physician’s diagnosis of the condition for which we will be treating (ICD-10 code).

Pilates will not only strengthen your core but also works on proper alignment and retraining the brain and body about proper movement patterns while performing the exercises. We modify exercises for each individual’s strength and needs. Pilates integrates whole body movement to decrease the gap in muscle imbalance.
Please bring all of your diagnostic test reports that are related to the issue for which we are treating. Please wear comfortable activity clothes. (No jeans or pants that require belts which can be damaging to the equipment)
